PC Tattletale is great for
monitoring various activity on your
computer, however the internet
filtering capabilities are
insufficient for the needs of most
parents. If you just want to
monitor then read on...
Website Filtering/Blocking
PC Tattletale has no preset dynamic
filtering capabilities. This means
that in order to block a website,
you have to manually enter the
keywords or URLs into their blocked
list. Being that there are millions
of objectionable websites and
keywords for children out there,
this just would not work as a
filtering software. For
monitoring only then PC Tattletale
would still be of use to you.
Other Filtering/Blocking
PC Tattletale offers no other
filtering or blocking features.
Monitoring
The monitoring features are actually
pretty good. PC Tattletale will take
screenshots every few seconds (this
amount can be changed) then arrange
them into a slideshow when you view
them. PC Tattletale also monitors
URLs, email programs, chat programs,
chat rooms, keys typed, and programs
run.
Management:
PC Tattletale has a password
protected control panel to select
each monitoring category and view
recorded activity.
Support:
They have online support videos, an
online knowledgebase, and a trouble
ticket system.
